Hello everyone! I have been seriously neglecting deviant art, which makes me sad inside. I have about one week left until I get the heck out of here (and then move back to help out international students over the summer) so I haven't been able to do anything at all. Except my final project...which is over in the scrapbook of my gallery section. If anyone wants to poke over there and give me some suggestions, I would be happy to hear them

I'm sure his wife would be happy for the two of you and gracefully flee the country.

I also forgot Marita was still alive. Ah, kudos to her.
I personally hated seeing Gibson all freaky and grown up, so, meh, I'd like it if he got left out of the movie, haha.
Deep Throat kicked so much ass! You know, I was just thinking about X the other day, and how cool and hilarious he was at the same time. I love whenever they gave him the "bat signal", haha.
I want them away from the darkness, that is for sure. I know Scully is sick of it (poor poor girl). I wonder what they would do during the colonization. I don't know if an "I told ya so" would do.
Deep Throat was one of my favorite characters. He was like Mulder's personal Obi-Wan Kenobi. He actually seemed to care about what happened to Mulder and Scully, and wanted to atone for his past with the Syndicate. X was the epitome of cool - he wasn't afraid to beat the crap out of someone haha.
I think in typical XF fashion, they'll probably risk their lives to stop the colonization just in the nick of time, with the whole thing remaining secret from the public. They'd never be vindicated with a 'we were right all along' in the spotlight, but they'll be rewarded by finally beating the darkness for good. With the aliens defeated, they'd be free.

Mulder: And then we'll get outta here. Just me and you.
Scully: As far away from the darkness as we can get?
Mulder: I'm not sure it works that way. I think maybe the darkness finds you. And me.
Scully: I know it does.
Mulder: But let it try.
Speaking of Spender, my mom always says that he is the Great Mutato in Post Modern Prometheus...I wonder if that is true. I hope so, because it would be pretty hilarious.
Come to think of it, I wish the 2nd movie would have just been about colonization. I thought the fact that they were trying to get back to the monster of the week style was cool, but it was a pretty lame "monster".
Oh well, excuse for a third movie, and I'm all in if it goes down. Things really do need to be wrapped up in terms of the colonization.
Chris Owens, besides being Spender, was the Great Mutato. He was also the young CSM in the flashbacks in Musings and Demons.
I think the stand-alone in IWTB had to be more subtle than usual because it was more of a reintroduction to Mulder and Scully...where they've been, who they are now, their struggle between reconciling the unresolved past with the present, the conflict between wanting to chase the paranormal (Mulder) and wanting a normal life (Scully) only to realize that they can have both if they continue working together to make it happen. I loved what David Duchovny said in an interview: "Mulder is Mulder. He needs to be out there. And the kind of romantic part of the film is that he really rediscovers that passion and still says at the end, to Scully, I'd rather have you."
I think this, more than anything, really shows how much Mulder has grown over the years. Where he used to declare his quest as being the most important thing to him in season 1, that changed over the years and Scully has become more important than anything else. He is now willing to step away if she needs him to, and chose her at the end over the paranormal.
